Moldmaking Material Study

This project was an exploration of the materiality of glass, plaster, and concrete and the casting processes for each. My aim was to create three identical simple square forms with a circular concavity in the middle of each one that would allow for variance in texture, translucency, as well as the interplay of light and shadow. My goal was to keep the forms simple in shape and devote more time to surface finishing each object in different ways to reveal the unique characteristics of each material.
