This work was a site-specific installation in the out-of-use mailroom space in the main lobby of the Tyler School of Art and Architecture. The piece blended in to the architectural features of the space in such a way that made the presence of the work not immediately obvious.
The installation served as a condition for viewing a single thread of glass. The empty space of the disused mailroom became the luminous field within which the glass floated, not as a material being, but as light reconfigured. The existence of the thread hovered between presence and absence, never perceivable all at once, but always available in fleeting glimpses.
